Steve Freeman and Employment Issues
Steve Freeman gave an entertaining overview of the employment issues that faces companies today. Given the complex legal issue, Steve reviewed the multitude of legal issues and penalties associated with current employment laws. Needless to say, hiring and firing is tough and if not handled properly a company opens itself to a myriad of issues.
Steve provided a quick PDF overview of the different employment laws. Employment Laws Click on the link to download this PDF.
Printer Discount - Save $25 on printing
All. I (Sean Jackson; DRT Webmaster) recently used Printingforless.com for a huge print run on Lead Maverick. I LOVE this service and wanted to share with you a discount.
First, PFL has online real-time price quotes for EVERY type of printing you need. Their prices and quality are excellent and better than what you can get here. Their customer service is also amazing. I had a minor problem with one of the things they printed so they reprinted the whole job for free.
If you need anything printed, brochures, business cards, flyers, folders, etc, then go to the following URL and put in the following promotion code to get $25 off.

JD Granger and the Trinity River Vision
OK I must admit that I am a Dallas fan..but after seeing what is happening in downtown Fort Worth, I think I want to move.
This past Tuesday JD Granger, Executive Director of TRV gave a very detailed vision plan of the new development in downtown Fort Worth along the Trinity River. JD and his team have done the impossible; pulling together various state, federal and local governments to agree on and fund a massive redevelopment north of downtown.
His group is SO GOOD that they actually are building an ISLAND in downtown Fort Worth. This is not a joke. A giant island in the middle of the Trinity river with stores, shops, housing, a baseball field, etc…800 acre ISLAND…Now that is impressive.
JD is a great speaker and the beauty of what he and his team are creating will dramatically alter the perception of Fort Worth. Not only is this project funded, but tax payers are being spared a huge increase because most of the money already existing in federal and state coffers. And are you ready for the best part…no new taxes!
While the project is 10 years from completion, they have all necessary approvals and already have over $500 million in development from private parties received. This is a real project and ready to go.
The TRV is creating a model for other cities to follow…is anyone in Dallas listening? I guess not. As for me…I am contacting my Realtor and buying a lake house in downtown Fort Worth.
