Lawrence Briggs, The InvestIn Forum

Lawrence Briggs presented to the DRT today on his organization, The InvestInForum. During his presentation he discussed the focus of the Forum to aid start up companies in their search for Angel Investors and provide a mechanism for Angel Investors to review deals. The Forum is unique in Dallas as it is one of few formalized angel groups. While the organization does not directly invest in companies, the members of the Forum are presented deals monthly and then make their own arrangements to work with the company on their investment needs.

Sean Jackson Presents Lead Maverick

On January 22, 2007 Sean Jackson, Founder of Lead Maverick, gave an overview of his company to the DRT members. Lead Maverick is a web application designed to put information online for generating leads from search engines like Google.

In his presentation Sean highlighted the growth of the online advertising market and how B2B companies are using tools like Google to research vendors and providers. As part of the discussion, Sean detailed how his application complimented existing online advertising and the role his tool plays on lead generation.
